Rick Harrison Recovering After Unexpected Heart Bypass Surgery
Pawn Stars star Rick Harrison is recovering after doctors discovered he needed unexpected heart bypass surgery.
The 61-year-old reality TV personality underwent what was initially expected to be a simpler procedure. However, doctors determined that a bypass was necessary, according to a statement from his family.
“He went in for a simpler procedure and they found he needed a bypass,” a family spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly on Friday. “He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery.”
The family added that Harrison is grateful for the medical team caring for him and for having his wife and loved ones by his side during his recovery.
Harrison recently began a new chapter in his personal life. He married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin in January, first tying the knot at Las Vegas’ Little White Wedding Chapel in a ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator. The couple later celebrated with an official wedding ceremony at Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun on Jan. 26.
“We are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife,” the couple said at the time, describing their journey together as “such an adventure already.”
Meanwhile, fans of Pawn Stars can look forward to the History Channel series returning with new episodes in 2027.
